Thunder Gold Corp [TSX.V:TGOL]

Thunder Gold Corp. (TSXV: TGOL) is a junior exploration company focused on the discovery of high value gold deposits in Canada. The Company’s flagship asset is the ~2,650 hectare Tower Mountain gold property, located 50 kilometers west of the port city of Thunder Bay, Ontario, in the Archean-aged (2,750 – 2,830 Ma) Shebandowan Greenstone Belt (“SGB”). The Tower Mountain claim group is roughly 60 kilometres east of the Moss Lake property (+4.0 Moz Au averaging 1.04 g/t Au) currently being explored by Gold Shore Resources (TSXV: GSHR).

Tower Mountain is a large-tonnage, low-grade gold deposit that has the signature of an Intrusion-Related Gold Deposit (“IRGD”). IRGD’s are some of the largest deposits in the world and offer excellent potential for the discovery of a Tier 1 deposit. (Note: Tier 1 deposits are typically a >10 M oz Au resource, >500,000 oz of annual Au production and >20-year mine life).

The property is dominated by a large intrusion that has pushed up through the volcanic rock, from the magma. Gold occurs in both the intrusive rock and the fractured volcanic rock surrounding the intrusion (like a doughnut). Gold mineralization occurs in ALL observed rock types and with a similar metal content – so it is very consistent grade throughout. Predictability of the gold grade is very attractive and can reduce mill costs for producers.

With over 40,000 metres of drilling to-date, primarily on the western edge of the intrusion, the results indicate widely disseminated, extremely predictable, large-tonnage, low-grade gold mineralization, averaging ~0.8 g/t Au, with some high-grade intercepts as high as 941.0 g/t Au over 1.5 metres. The next drilling campaign will focus on the eastern contact of the intrusion, which has returned the highest surface samples on the property to-date.

From an infrastructure standpoint, Tower Mountain is accessible year-round, directly off the Trans-Canada highway, has both rail and hydro lines next to it, with no water issues. Tower Mountain is 100% owned by Thunder Gold (less residual NSR’s) and metallurgical tests have proven gold recoveries >90%.
